Licensed Professional Counselor

“Entering therapy was like entering a world of love and compassion. It felt comforting to finally interact with someone who would be with me in my darkness, listen to me and reach out to the part of me that wanted to live. ” – Hedda Riktor
Diamond is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from Nicholls State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and in 2015 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has over 9 years of experience in the behavioral health field.
Diamond has worked with individuals (adults and children), couples, families, and groups to address a variety of issues including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief and loss, trauma, and adjustment issues.
Diamond’s therapeutic approach is from a cognitive-behavioral perspective in that patterns of thoughts and actions are explored in order to better understand the clients’ problems and to develop solutions. She adheres to the belief that people are constantly growing, changing, and transitioning and seeks to meet each client where he/she is as she “rides the waves” of life with them.
